Toyota Teams Up to Deliver STEM Learning to Los Angeles Area Students

In September, Toyota proudly reported that the company had partnered with California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) and the W.M. Keck Foundation to produce four new mobile fabrication laboratories (fab labs) that will help students develop their science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills. The labs, which made their debut in Los Angeles County, are an the first four in what will become a network of almost 900 mobile labs around the world.

These labs, which are designed to further STEM teaching and learning, are furnished with state-of-the-art technologies and tools, from laser cutters and 3D printers to the electronic components necessary for prototyping projects. They're pulled by four Toyota Tundra pickup trucks, and will bring learning opportunities to local schools as they travel throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

In addition to helping develop the fab labs, the Toyota USA Foundation also donated $4 million towards design, construction and equipment for the CSUDH Toyota Center for Innovation in STEM Education.

Our showroom at 3010 Auto Drive in Pine Bluff proudly serves drivers from the White Hall, Sheridan, Monticello and Stuttgart areas.
