Word of the fourth generation Toyota Prius goes back nearly three years, when we saw some of the first spy shots of the car testing. That's a pretty long gestation period for a car, but then again, Toyota has a lot riding on this model. The wait culminated this week in Las Vegas, when the new car was unveiled.
The Prius boasts a more dynamic design, better gas mileage, and introduces Toyota's New Global Architecture (TNGA), a platform which allows for improved core vehicle performance, while streamlining development by employing interchangeable parts. Like the Mirai hydrogen fuel cell, the car has an aggressive look, and a floating roof design. Quite classy, we daresay.
