Carl Edwards is NASCAR driver #19 for Joe Gibbs Racing. He went on a whirlwind adventure checking out the various Toyota sales and manufacturing offices around the country. Why not? He has raced his way to victory many times in his Toyota Camry.
His first stop takes him to California, where he pays a visit to the teams at Toyota Racing Development (TRD) and Toyota Motor Sales. Edwards remarked on how excited about racing everyone was, as well as their attention to detail throughout the entire process-- from planning and designing, to testing and analyzing results.
Then he travels down to Kentucky to check out Toyota Motor Manufacturing, where the cars are made. Everyone in the building must work in perfect synchrony to keep all of the many moving parts and pieces coming together without a hitch to keep up their rate of producing a brand new finished car every 54 seconds.
This team would be great on a pit crew!
