Toyota decided to strap on its boots and spurs, and swagger into town for a quick-draw with none other than a tank of compressed hydrogen.

The tank comes from the new Toyota Mirai, which creates zero emissions by relying on renewable hydrogen fuel. It has approximately a 300-mile range, and fuels up in under 5 minutes.

However, because hydrogen is a gas at room temperature, it takes a huge amount of pressure to store it as a liquid. This makes some people worry that it could explode if ruptured in a collision.
